Paychecks!
Checks from Cripple Creek in 1921

I came across these old Cripple Creek Checks at a local flea market here in Oklahoma. I thought they were too neat to pass up.

Both checks were issued in 1921. The first was issued to John Daniels for his "Work on Snow". Mr. Daniels pocketed $14.00 for his efforts.

The second check, in the amount of $15.00, was issued to E.H.Glassman. It looks like Mr. Glassman served as an extra fireman. It would be interesting to know what burned in Cripple Creek that time!
