Somewhere beyond the periphery of human vision, a war is being waged. Angels and demons battle for human souls. On earth, Hope, an artist, sees what her world has become. Over 180 countries are warring simultaneously. The world's governments allow the wars to continue as a means of population control. Death is commonplace and the global populus has built up a thick skin against it. Abortion clinics and fast-food restaurants rival each other in quick service. Mutant clones, an experiment in human godhood, roam the countrysides to avoid being used to harvest organs, as slaves or as food. Food is scarce. The economy is dying. Electronic finance has replaced cash. With the 'brave new world' of technology comes a decrease in personal privacy. Somewhere, someone knows everything about you. New laws allow people to have sex with and marry anything they want. This has opened the door to horrific new sexual diseases which kill in days. Children have been emancipated and can do what they wish. Pedophilia is legal. Children are also encouraged to turn in parents for actions against the state...anything from voicing an opinion about government to reading the wrong books. Hope hides in her inner city apartment, trying to escape the hell of the outside world. Her grandfather tells her that all of this is a prelude to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Hope believes that God gave up the earth long ago. How else would it have gotten this bad? But when millions of people disappear from the face of the earth and a strikingly sinister figure assumes global leadership in a matter of days, Hope begins to believe her grandfather. The world is getting more depraved, except for a few clandestine splinter groups who are whispering things about an antichrist. The new leader is fierce and charismatic. He promises peace and prosperity. But when Hope sees what the new government does to those who speak against them, she wonders which promise she should believe...the one coming from the mouth of this self-proclaimed savior, or the one made to her thousands of years ago, sealed in blood. There are only two sides. There is no middle ground. And there is nowhere to hide.

"So you also must be ready,
because the Son of Man will come at an hour
when you do not expect Him."
-- Matthew 24:44
