SURNAMES: GRAY-WADE-RAMPEY
QRYTEXT: Looking for anyone who can help with my GRAY-WADE families.
The problem is, my gggrandfather William GRAY married Rebecca WADE (no
dates) and the only two children I know of are my ggrandfather John GRAY
and his sister Susan GRAY. John was born 23 April 1853 and Susan was abt
two yrs younger. The story goes, John and Susan left home when their mother
Rebecca died and William remarried. They settled in Clarksville, Johnson
Co, Ark, then in to Okla. John's death certificate and 1910 census has
him born in Miss but Susan married Phillip RAMPEY from Edgefield, SC. John
married Hanna MATLOCK. Would like to connect with either Gray or WADE family
that they may fit into. This has been a long standing puzzle for me. Appreciate
any info for GRAY-WADE-RAMPEY.

Porter
Looking for information on the family and descendants of Judge David PORTER,
born abt 1812, possibly in Kentucky. Wife is Isabella ______, and
children include Mary, Julia, Leanor, James, and David. There is possibly
another son, Rufus, born abt 1861. This is all I know. Has anyone seen
this family? Is Judge Porter buried in Johnson County? They show up in
the 1860 census, but are not anywhere to be found in the 1870 census. As
theory is that the children were orphaned by 1870 and were living in the
Dudly JAMES household in Pope County by 1870. Can anyone confirm or clarify
this? THANKS!
