NOTABLE CHARACTERISTICS OF LAKE OR FISHERY: Lake is usually turbid to semiturbid and is silt laden in the upper one-third and subject to high wind exposure.

SPECIAL REGULATIONS: A 14 inch length limit on largemouth bass was imposed in 1991. Fishing, boating, picnicking and camping permits are required.

HABITAT TYPES STATUS AND IMPROVEMENTS: Shorelines are primarily gently sloping with a substrate of colloidal clay with limited areas of small rocks and submerged timber. The best habitat is restricted to coves in the lower one-third of the lake.

MANAGEMENT STRATEGY: Stocking hybrid striped bass and saugeye to control the overabundant crappie population will continue; refurbish existing brush piles in 1996; sample in 1996 to evaluate progress of management goals and to determine stocking success of hybrids and saugeye.
