Bubba's World

This page is dedicated to the idea that "Bubba" is not a pejorative term; rather it is an honorable name of long-standing history and great southern tradition. "Bubba" need not call to mind some beer-bellied bigot who drives a beat-up pickup and drools on himself when ordering cheese tater-tots to go with his R-C and Moonpie. I, for example, would never drink R-C cola. . . Hence this page: to offer an alternative perspective on who Bubba is, what Bubba does and the value to the world of just having someone to call "Bubba".

This is one of a series of linked pages, which makes some exploration in order. Bubba can almost guarantee that you will not find everything available on your first visit, so he leaves a light in the window for your return. As you begin exploration, you can at least rest assured that Bubba never puts anything that blinks on his page; and though Bubba considers construction to be an honorable pursuit, nothing so gauche as a sign announcing it shall ever appear on a Bubba page.

Beauty 'n da Bubba

Bubba has a Daughter...

Working on being a career college student just like her ole dad! Only more so... She spent a month last winter in India and decided there that she needed to spend the fall semester next year in Italy. Hey... it's only money, right? At least that's what Bubba's accountant says - 'course that's mainly 'cause it's Bubba's money! Anyway...

Peanut Butter and 'Celli Sandwiches Bubba plays the 'cello...

Yep... it's true; and he's played it for over 40 years. Probably time to take a rest, don't you think? Bubba has played as principal 'cellist in several orchestras, performed with chamber ensembles and in solo recital. The repertoire is classical, and Bubba himself is... well... ask Patootie.

DaShack Bubba doesn't own a CB radio...

but he does have an amateur extra class radio license under the callsign WA5NFP which he has held since 1964. Bubba is still active and on the air and you may have encountered him if you operate a packet station, participate in Field-Day exercises or even if you worked the "Best Little DX-Pedition in Texas" a few years ago.

Bubba studies...
